Raspberry Scones

Here is a post on making raspberry scones as i came across some frozen raspberries i'd grown but hadn't used yet. I took a basic scone recipe and just added some raspberry's to it to give it more flavour plus i love fruity scones. This recipe makes 8-10 scones depending on the size of the biscuit cutter that you use.

recipe:
self raising flour - 225grams
sugar - 25grams
salt - 1/2 tsp
butter - 50grams
milk - 150ml
raspberries - 1 handful

Sift the flour, sugar and salt into a bowl then add the butter and rub it in until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
I then added 1 handful of raspberries but you can add in fewer or more.
Slowly add the milk and mix it to a soft but not sticky dough with a knife.
Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and knead it for 30 seconds then pat it down so it's around 1cm thick.
Cut with a biscuit cutter and transfer them onto a tray with a grease proof baking sheet on.
Bake at 230 degrees for 10 minutes (you may find it needs a couple more minutes)

Upload Tour

I went to the Upload Tour gig in Norwich last night on their first day on tour, it was absolutely amazing all the acts were great and i met some great people. Youtubers Tom Law, BriBryOnTour, Eddplant and Dave Giles performed and JaackMaate hosted the event, it was great as they were part of the audience when they weren't performing and talked to as many people as they could and didn't stay away in the dressing rooms which i liked unlike most gigs you have to stay behind after the event for ages to try to meet them. I thought i'd share with you some photos which i took and i'll also be putting a video together from the night soon.

cupcake

I went in lush at the beginning ago and came across their face mask "cupcake" generally i don't use face masks but i find that lush's face masks work a treat and this wasn't a disappointment. As it says on the pot that it helps calm breakouts i was weary about if it really does help but after a couple of uses you can notice it helping. I suggest applying generous layer all over your face and leaving it for 15-25 minutes though on the pot it says 10 minutes it's been recommend to me by a few people to keep it on for longer. I found that it really helps exfoliate your skin and leaves it feeling smooth also with the cocoa butter and powder it leaves a subtle chocolatey scent behind which to me is a perk that it smells so nice. Overall this is a great product and i highly recommend it.
